With age, the ability of people to live independently is likely to decrease. To perform various activities and daily tasks, assistive devices can help elderly people. A House of Common Library report states that the UK’s older population is expected to increase with people over 65 making up 24% of the total population by 2043 i.e. 17.4 million people.
According to a report by Government Office for Science, more than 70% of population growth between 2014 and 2039 will be among the over 60 age group, which is an increase from 21.9 million people. As per the WHO, over 1 billion people from all over the globe require at least one assistive device.
With an increase in non-communicable ailments and the ageing world population, it is expected that by 2030, over 2 billion people will require at least 1 assistive device, with many elderly people requiring two or more such products.

Very good phone. The flip action is very smooth, and the operating system responds very well. Sound quality is also very good, and a fully charged battery lasts the whole day. The touch screen is also very responsive to inputs, and the picture quality of the camera is superb. Very good value overall.
"Great idea especially for the elderly who struggle to dial numbers - you program a number on the phone to be dialled using a long press on the red button on the rear. We used it for elderly parents to use in emergencies - great idea!"
"This is an enjoyable easy phone to use, It doesn’t come with much only a battery and a USB cable for charging. I like how its got all the basics from call, text, camera, even an MP3 player and Radio. It has dual SIM and even an SD card slot to store your music.
I found the phone lightweight and very easy to use, it’s unlocked on any network and the button are responsive, clicky and is ideal if you want an easy phone with only the essentials. It does feel extremely small especially since I’ve been used to holding an IPhone. It is however extremely slippery due to how smooth it is. The UI and sound effect does feel more on the younger side.
Battery life can last a few days with moderate use and it is loud enough to hear when ringing. Overall, it’s a good phone if you want all the basic with no non-sense."
