The TT500 is quite comfortable to hold. The screen is a 2.4 inch LCD and shows the time, date, signal strength, and battery life. The keys are extremely large and easy to read, though you can also set the phone to say them out loud as you press them, which is a nice feature for those with diminished eyesight.
Easy and convenient charging
A big black circular SOS button is located on the back of the phone, which is a great feature to have in case of an emergency. This is a dedicated SOS number that can be used in case of an emergency. Any number can be programmed in and it just takes one press of the panic button to make that all important call. By pressing and holding the button down for 5 seconds, the phone will sound a high-pitched alert and proceed to automatically call 5 programmable numbers until a call connects.
The TTfone Meteor comes with a free desktop charging station which makes charging the phone simple and easy. Simply place the phone into the cradle and it will charge up, remove and it will stop. Power On: Press and hold the Red button for 3-5 seconds until you hear the start-up tune. Power Off: Press and hold the Red button for 3-5 seconds until the power-off animation begins.
To access your voicemail from your Meteor, press and hold the 1 button until you see the call connecting. Once the call is connected, follow the prompts. (Procedure for other carriers may vary).
Go to Menu > Settings > Profiles > Keypad > select silent and press OK button.
English, French, Spanish, German and Italian
The Meteor takes a standard size sim card only. Use an adapter in case you have a Micro or a Nano sim. The adapter can be bought from any nearby mobile store.
Go to Menu > Settings > Time and Date > Enter the Time and Date using the keypad numbers and then Save. In Time and Date Settings you can also select the format for the time and date.
The external lights indicate if you have missed a call, if you have an incoming call, received a new message or the battery is close to becoming completely discharged.
Yes one can receive calls simply by opening the flip cover. You can also end the call simply by closing the flip cover.
It’s a button that can be programmed to call whichever number or numbers you choose, so that everyone you want to be notified in case of emergency gets a phone call. The people on the other end of the line then can hear everything going on. It also activates a loud alarm to draw attention from bystanders so they can assist until help arrives. The SOS button will also send out emergency text messages to inform others of a problem. Please Note: If one of the emergency numbers has a voicemail system, the phone will assume that the call has been answered and will no longer call any more of the emergency numbers.
